Westminster Islamabad Students Win Global Model UN Singapore 2026
Westminster Islamabad students made Pakistan proud on its 80th Independence Day. The students won the World Champions and Best Delegation awards at Global Model UN Singapore 2026.
A team of 10 students represented Pakistan at the prestigious conference. The World Federation of UN Associations (WFUNA) organised the event as an authentic United Nations simulation. More than 700 students from over 50 countries attended the conference.
Students achieve major diplomatic success
The Westminster delegation delivered an impressive performance throughout the event. Eight students won Best Diplomacy Awards for their outstanding work.In addition, two students earned a place among only 12 international speakers. They received the opportunity to deliver the Plenary Speech during the opening ceremony.
The achievement marks major progress for Pakistan’s young diplomats. Westminster Islamabad first joined the forum in 2025 with six students. Three of those students won Best Diplomacy Awards during that edition.However, the 2026 results show remarkable growth within just one year. The larger delegation also achieved a stronger overall performance. As a result, the students secured the World Champions and Best Delegation titles.
Young diplomats highlight Pakistan's potential
Several Westminster students ranked among the youngest participants at the conference. Their performance demonstrated strong confidence, leadership and diplomatic skills.The achievement also highlights the potential of Pakistani students on international platforms. Their success brought recognition to Pakistan during its Independence Day celebrations.Furthermore, the students gained valuable experience by engaging with peers from different countries. They took part in discussions that reflected the workings of international diplomacy and cooperation.
Pakistan remains one of the youngest participants in the forum. Westminster Islamabad’s rapid progress also shows how young Pakistani students can compete internationally.The 2026 achievement has therefore created a strong example for future student delegations. It also reflects the growing interest among Pakistani students in diplomacy and global affairs.The students’ success at Global Model UN Singapore 2026 has given Pakistan another reason to celebrate its young talent and future leaders.
